Clark Stroupe, Clark joined the new IB World Schools department in Singapore in January to guide schools toward deeper understanding and implementation of the IB Programmes. Leaving his first two careers—university lecturer in Literature and professional campaign politics--Clark fell in love with teaching and has been working in international schools around the world since 2000 (five different IB World schools since 2003). Originally from Washington DC, Clark has lived, studied and worked in Germany, Egypt, Italy, Cote D’Ivoire, India, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Indonesia over the past 20 years. Clark has worked with the IB Educator Network for the past 8 years as an examiner, school visitor, reader, workshop leader, field representative, leader educator, and trainer for new workshop leaders. Clark’s professional passion is innovating the classroom learning transaction—empowering schools to empower kids.
