Paul Bullen-Smith is Group Manager, Qualifications Development, at Cambridge Assessment International Education, responsible for a team of developers reviewing and developing our 260 plus qualifications ensuring that they are appropriate for the 21st century and the changing demands of students, schools, employers and higher education.

Prior to this role he was Head of Cambridge Global Perspectives, responsible for realising Cambridge’s policy of placing Global Perspectives in the centre of its curriculum offering and as a vehicle for the assessment of 21st century skills.

He has worked at Cambridge both in assessment and syllabus development for nine years; prior to that he had nine years as a teacher and Head of Department, as well as being an examiner for IB and Pearson. Before moving into the educational world he had 20 years’ experience in business, primarily in sales, marketing and general management. Paul has a honours degree in Economics & Politics, and postgraduate qualifications in Teaching and Marketing.
